If you want to insert an image with text flowing around it makes sure the cursor is at the beginning of a paragraph when you click the Add Media button and choose Left or Right Alignment. So click the Add Media button after having hit Return (to create a new paragraph) and choose Center Alignment. Images like this (300 pixels and wider) should be centered within their own paragraph.
